Called the Best New Tech for CES 2016 by multiple outlets, today Rob is reviewing the latest in virtual reality headsets — the HTC Vive.
The Vive features:
- more content that other VR headsets
- 250 content releases so far (for context, Wii U had 30 releases when it debuted)
- wall mounts for sensors included
- quick start guide in packaging but will need a computer to get started
- should be 4k ready
- a lot more cables than the Oculus but very neat and slick design
- headset fits snug which is great so you won’t get dizzy
- comes with an extra foam for the faceguard
- very cool controllers, can use your arms and hands more freely than other controllers
- lots of adapters and chargers for controllers and sensors
- lots of plastic wrapping
- headphones are a bit of a dud, you'll want to invest in noise cancelling headphones for a fully immersive experience
- again way more cables than the Oculus, but more readily available content
