One year after the launch of Facebook Live, Streaming Media interviewed producers on the platform including Live X President, Corey Behnke.
The article, Facebook Live: A Progress Report After One Year of Growth, asks superusers large and small, from PBS and The YES Network to an Accuweather meteorologist and a house of worship, about how Facebook Live is working out for them.
In mentioning the Live X production of DJI's Mavic Drone Launch, Corey cited Facebook's popularity and the potential for massive spontaneous reach.
"As it gains an even stronger foothold in people's lives, Facebook Live will be that much more important as a streaming destination. Brands have spent a lot of money over the years on their Pages, and this gives them exposure and marketing they would not otherwise have had."
Since broadcasting for Cheddar an hour after Facebook Live's launch at F8, and for Kevin Hart with Nike just days later, Live X has streamed to the platform for clients such as The Verge's Mr. Robot Aftershow, Daily Burn 365, Vox, the band Dawes, Times Square New Year's Eve, and Vergecast Live CES 2017.
