LIVE X PROVIDES VIDEO, LIGHTING, AND ADVANCED PRODUCTION SERVICES TO 2016 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION

New York, NY - Live X was an official provider of production strategy, equipment, and staffing for the Democratic National Convention at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The company supported the live stream as well as satellite media tours in support of Studio 2016, the Democratic National Convention Committee’s in-house media studio housing TV Satellite, Radio, and online interviews, as well as a nightly behind-the-scenes live streamed pre-show. Producing the video and live stream from the Digital Balcony, Digital Suite, and Studio 2016 stage, Live X provided equipment and expertise to deliver streaming video for what the DNCC billed as “the most innovative and engaging convention in history.” While the main in-venue locations featured hours of exclusive programming with appearances by influencers and celebrities, field production teams extended the coverage with on-the-street interviews with attendees at satellite events throughout the city and in and around the Wells Fargo Center.

Whether voters in battleground states watching local television, or millennials watching the Convention solely online, Studio 2016 focused on broadcasting convention coverage in ways that reached Americans where they are, how they consume media, and from what voices. Studio 2016 had a modernized, curated process this year,” said Liz Hart, Director of Studio 2016. “Our partnership with Live X to produce key video was critical to that mission. Live X provided nearly a half mile of fiber optic infrastructure between production truck, Digital Suite, Digital Balcony, and backstage, providing lines for cameras, audio, IFB, and wired communications, in addition to cameras microphones and lighting.
