For the latest installment of Hardware Junkies, we took the Panasonic Kairos through its paces. Needless to say, we weren't disappointed.
The IT/IP platform “KAIROS” is a live video production platform. It incorporates proprietary, ground-breaking software to maximize the CPU and GPU capacities for video processing.
Put simply, Kairos is pure processing power and can handle however many inputs and outputs as your GPU and CPU can take while providing extremely flexible system configuration. A variety of video inputs and outputs are available with Kairos to support not only baseband signals such as SDI but also new IP signals including ST 2110 and NDI to realize remote live video production.
