In today’s unboxing, Live X Producer, Nick Walsh, took a look at the Broadcast Pix Switch 6. This powerful unit combines an integrated video switcher with a powerful 3D character generator for easy, stunning motion graphics. It features full control-over-IP from a panel, tablet or phone with low latency and secure cloud control.
First Impressions
This unit is huge - and for good reason. Every BPswitch includes an integrated 3D motion and graphics system built in, using NewBlue’s NTX program, making it super simple to add in motion graphics either from templates, or custom builds of your own. It also includes control over IP using BPNet - making it easy to access remotely from another computer, a tablet, or even your phone - even making it possible to cut a show over the cloud! It is capable of switching up to 22 SDI and IP inputs, and 8 media stores. With the future in mind, the broadcast pix really allows for a strong working unit now and for years to come, and can easily be used for a one-man-band production setup.
