We unboxed the ATEM Television Studio Pro HD, by Blackmagic Design.
First impressions:
-
Fully contained - frame and control - in one unit
-
Very solid alumninum - has some heft, but not terribly heavy
-
Very durable
- Prefer prioritizing SDI rather than HDMI as first four inputs, but this may work well for prosumer camera setups
- Prefer a real T-bar, but this design is safer for travel
-
Works great within Blackmagic's ATEM live ecosystem of color control, talkback, tally, and program return for Blackmagic cameras
-
Focus, Zoom, Iris control via Panasonic and Sony VISCA PTZ protocols
- Audio faders
- One Upstream Key
- Two Downstream Keys

- USB 2.0 port for firmware and configuration
