After waiting months and months due to delayed release dates, we finally got our hands on the Canon COMPACT-SERVO 18-80mm T4.4 EF Lens.
- Servo lens buttons - telephoto and wide.
- Unfortunately, there is no rocker handle and has to be purchased separately. So there is only one speed forward/back, making punch or snap zooms impossible.
- The lens is short for live work but works well for intimate settings or as your center cam for a wide shot.
- Image stabilization is great for run and gun operations and very light compared to other cine servo lenses.
- The build is very solid similar to the L-Series photo glass.
- The casing is matte much like the Canon still lenses.
- Manual-servo switch on the bottom of the lens.
- A remote tap for a rocker handle remote.
- T4.4 is the fastest it will go, which is great because you won't need the extra piece of glass to weight it down.
- A standard .8 Fujinon pitch camera operators will be familiar with.
- Comes with a protective lens bag, lens hood, and instruction manual.
