First Impressions
The Pro Convert SDI 4K Plus is nothing short but slick. It’s well designed outer casing shows that it means business. Everything from the connections on the side to the Magewell logo that greets you right when you take this device out of the package let’s you know that it’s premium. And on top of that, the functionality could not be more well laid out: one side for your SDI in and out, along with the PTZ/Tally interface, and the other for your Ethernet/NDI and USB connectivity. The included PTZ and Tally break out is a huge bonus, allowing you to get your new device working without the hassle of sourcing another specialized cable. If your setup includes a PoE switch (power over ethernet), you’re in luck! Since the Pro Convert’s ethernet port is PoE enabled, that means one fewer item to power off the wall. With all that being said, we can’t wait to start using this well built and versatile device in the field for a variety of applications!
