In today’s unboxing, we take a look at the Ultra Stream HDMI encoder by Magewell. With this new encoder, Magewell brings us an easy to use, app enabled, single-channel HD streaming encoder - allowing you to stream to Youtube, Facebook, Twitch, or a custom RTMP in seconds.
First Impressions
The Ultra Stream HDMI is a nice slick unit - small and compact, yet sleek and modern, with LED lights on the top to confirm your HDMI Signal, Ethernet, Wifi, and USB, plus two bottons - a red button to Record and Green button to go Live. The Ultra Stream also provides an HDMI loop out, so you can connect to a monitor to check your stream, on top of using the mobile app. With the capabilities to stream to Facebook, Youtube, Twitch, or a custom RTMP, as well as record on a USB directly from the unit, or to your mobile device through the app, the Ultra Stream really is a nice tool for solo streamers, gamers, or anyone looking to do a simple single-channel stream, without using a computer or too many other moving parts.
