Live X provided streaming and multi-distibution for "Seize the Moment Live with DJI" at Grand Central Station's Vanderbilt Hall, where DJI launched their latest drone product, the "Spark".
This was a key press event for the client, engineered to create the most buzz-generating presentation in the most awe-inspiring way possible.
Live X covered the event with three cameras, encoding to multiple platforms in four different resolutions. The stream was embedded across the web by technology and consumer products experts, and other industry news outlets. It became the main source of information for hundreds of videos and articles that swept the internet after the launch.
"We've got something really special to show you today," said Michael Perry, director of strategic partnerships at DJI. "And we couldn't be more thrilled to show it to you here in Grand Central Terminal, where we have hundreds of thousands of people passing by on a daily basis."
Indeed, working in the landmark building posed technical and logistics challenges that the Live X team worked carefully to solve. There were numerous venue restrictions due to safety and security, in addition to adjacent construction / rehabilitation projects to work around. Extensive pre-production research, documentation, and permitting were required, as well as coordination with Metro North Railroad, Jones Lang LaSalle, and the Metro Transit Authority Police Department.
The final result was a grand event in a magnificent space, for a truly captivating product launch.
NICE DCV is a high-performance remote display protocol that lets you securely deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device
It's easy to connect with remote contributors on platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or vMix Call. It's much harder to take those contributors feeds and make them part of a professional looking and sounding broadcast. That's what LiveX has specialized in for years.
